Jem deals with the preparation of building plans for local authority approval for new dwellings, extensions, alterations and loft conversions and Jem is able to assist clients with projects from concept through to completion. As a former local authority Building Control Officer, Jem is well placed to deal with all statutory applications for planning and building regulation consent and has a very good track record with local authorities across the south. Jem deals with householder,full planning applications and with specialist listed building applications for developments under the Town and Country Planning Act.
Jem is also able to assist with the preparation of stuctural detailing and calculations and SAP calculations which are often require to accompany Building Regulation Applications. The full range of professional required services includes building contractor liaison, contract preparation / adminstration and project supervision plus the certification of contractor accounts as works proceed. Peripheral services frequently undertaken by Jem include acting in the role of CDM coordinator under the Construction Design and Management Regulations, acting at Party Wall Surveyor under the The Party Wall etc Act 1996.
As an former Senior Building Control Officer Jem is also frequently called upon to undertake Fire Risk Assessments for Responsible Persons under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Oder 2005, and Health and Safety Risk Assessments for commercial premises.
